Tip #2: Copies of important documents.Always make copies of your important documents like- passports, licenses, vaccination documentation, credit card numbers, travellers cheques, insurance policies, medication subscriptions, etc. Give one copy to a trusted person at home and keep another in a separate place to the originals. This way if your originals are lost or misplaced you have a backup and your enjoyable holiday wont be abruptly ended.
Tip #1: There's no place like home. Make sure your passport will not expire while you are overseas. Always allow atleast 6 months of time before you leave for your trip as customs may pull you over for this and stop you from going anywhere (Note that each countries restrictions and suggestions for this are different).
